Our Branding Bar offers the chance to permanently customize natural fiber goods with your choice of design. Using over 150 handcrafted branding irons (made in the USA), we brand items like:

Before submitting your inquiry, please read the expectations below thoroughly and print them off for your reference. This ensures we’re on the same page and can make your event as seamless and magical as possible.

What You Can Expect From Moon Child Collective:
We're here to bring the magic. Here’s what’s included when you book the Moon Child Collective Custom Hat Bar:

We provide all materials, including the hats (unless a guest selects the BYOH – Bring Your Own Hat – option) and branding equipment.

Add-ons like hat care kits, hat pins, and hat filler will be available for purchase at the event.

Please note: Trucker hats cannot be branded, and not all wide-brim hats are brandable.
Setup & Flow:

We’ll arrive approximately one hour before your event to set up the Hat Bar.
-
Let us know if you have folding tables available; otherwise, we’ll bring our own. We do not provide chairs, but you’re welcome to set some up.

Most guests prefer to mingle while waiting for their hat to be styled. We assemble each hat ourselves—this takes time, so a staggered flow of guests works best.

If you’re a business hosting us, encourage your guests to shop while they wait!

Promotion & Communication:

We’ll help promote your event by resharing any posts where you tag us.

Please add Moon Child Collective as a co-host to your Facebook event and feel free to use our images for promo purposes.

The week of your event, we’ll reach out to confirm final details including set-up time, event space layout, parking, and estimated arrival time.

💸 Pricing: Pricing details (plus tax) are listed below. If you prefer to have the travel fee included in the hat cost per guest, just let us know—we’ll calculate that accordingly.
What We Expect From You:
To make your Hat Bar a success, here’s what we need from you:

Choose a date at least 30 days out to allow time for promotion and guest signups.

Tip: Poll your audience to find the most popular day/time.
-
Consider aligning with other events or sales happening in your store or community.
-

Pay the $68 non-refundable booking fee.
-
This is your investment in making the event successful and helps cover the upfront prep, travel coordination, and staffing at our Stoddard shop.
-
If your event meets the minimum signup requirements, we’ll give you a $68 voucher to use at your Hat Bar (1 vegan wool hat + bar, $68 off a wide-brim hat, or 2 trucker hats).

If your event does not meet the required number of reservations, your $68 fee is forfeited and the event is canceled. You’ll need to resubmit your request form and repay the booking fee to select a new date.

Once you’ve paid and received your reservation link, your event is officially booked.

Please create a Facebook event using the link we send, and make Moon Child Collective a co-host.

Guests must pay in advance through our website to reserve their spot.

Reservation minimums:
-
10 guests: wide-brim hats only
-
20 guests: trucker hats only
-
15 guests: mix of trucker and wide-brim hats
-
A typical session lasts 2 hours. We can extend the time if needed.

Post regularly about your event (once a week is great!) to your social media, stories, email list and/or blog.
-
Tag us so we can help spread the word!

Consider printing a flyer with a QR code linking to the sign-up page for in-store promotion. (Canva is a great resource for this!)

Travel Fee:
-
Events located more than 25 miles (one way) from our Stoddard location (141 S. Main St., Stoddard, WI 54658) will incur a $0.50/mile round-trip travel fee.
-
This can be added to the guest hat pricing if preferred.
-
The travel fee is refundable if your event is canceled (unlike the booking fee).
Non-Compete Agreement:
By submitting your inquiry, you agree not to replicate, operate, or offer your own hat bar experience—or something similar—for a period of 18 months from the date of submission.
This includes creating or hosting interactive custom hat events resembling the Moon Child Collective Hat Bar or Branding Bar experience.
This protects the originality and heart of what we do, and we thank you for understanding.
